dear little baby,
today we learned a few new things about you. first off, you don't seem to like having your picture taken. we spent a good chunk of time trying to get you to move your hands away from your face today and after i got poked and prodded a whole bunch and had to turn over a few times, you finally moved them ever so slightly for us to get a peek. you also like to have your legs pulled up real close to your chest and your feet pushed as far into my placenta as they'll go. that made it a little difficult for us to get a good shot of your feet and all of your legs. but, after some more poking, you finally came around.
we got to see you yawn today. baby yawns are the best. even when they are in utero.
from what we could tell (since we're experienced and everything c;), you're perfect. you're measuring right where you should be, your heart is nice and strong and you've got the cutest little nose.
we also learned today that i am low on iron, low on vitamin d andddd my thyroid is acting up. it seems like these are the culprits for me being so tired lately and for adding on an additional nine pounds this month. nine pounds! that was hard to swallow, especially since i don't feel like i've gained all that much weight. but, i do look considerably more pregnant now than i did a couple of weeks ago so maybe it makes sense.
we took a poll today on facebook (i know, i know. i'll explain facebook to you some other day since it's probably died out by the time you're reading this) to see if people thought you were a girl or a boy. well, 14 people guessed girl and two guessed boy. it was pretty obvious what you are. just like your big brother, it was easy for the ultrasound technician to figure it out (and us, too!). your daddy was so happy when we found out that you're a girl that he started to tear up.
we love you so much already little girl. we can hardly wait to meet you. only 20ish more weeks to go!
